Okarun, a high school boy obsessed with supernatural phenomena, is cursed by Turbo Granny! Along with his classmate Momo Ayase, he challenges Turbo Granny to a game of tag as a means to lift the curse. If the two can stay out of her reach until the finish line, they'll win. But Turbo Granny's assassin, a bound spirit in the form of a giant crab, has other plans!
The pacing of the tag showdown with Turbo Granny hits so hard, and Momo’s banter with Okarun makes every page fly by. I finished it in one sitting and immediately wanted the next volume.
The game of tag against Turbo Granny had me flipping pages way faster than I expected, and the back-and-forth between Okarun and Momo is the best part. If you're into supernatural stuff with a good dose of comedy, this volume delivers.
The pacing in this volume is insane—you go from laughing at Okarun's terrified face to holding your breath during the chase scenes. Momo finally gets some real moments to shine, and the art during the Turbo Granny confrontation is genuinely unsettling in the best way.
