Now that the alien invasion has been thwarted, Okarun and the others start a research club with the goal of finding his missing family jewel. As they prepare to get their new club up and running, they can't help but feel suspicious of their assigned advisor, Mr. Sanjome, of whom they strangely have no memory. Soon after, Okarun's class rep reveals to him that ever since she picked up a gold ball, he's looked like… a handsome vampire?!

Eli ★★★★★

The research club setup is a fresh change of pace after all the chaos, and the banter between the crew during their first club meetings had me laughing out loud. The art in the scenes where they're mapping out their search is super detailed too.

The pacing after the alien invasion wraps up is a real shift, but the research club setup gives the crew a fresh dynamic that keeps it compelling. The pages flew by, and the dialogue had me laughing out loud more than a few times. This volume sets up the next arc nicely.

Lucy R. ★★★★★

The club setup gives Okarun and the crew a fresh, lighter dynamic after all that invasion chaos, and the mystery around his family jewel keeps the stakes personal. Art’s as crisp as ever, especially during the quieter research-club scenes where the character expressions carry the humor.
