The pacing in this volume is relentless—Okarun’s nanoskin gambit against the kaiju kept me flipping pages way past midnight. The art on those transformation panels is chaotic in the best way, even if it sometimes makes you squint to follow the action.
The nanoskin transformation sequence is such a clever payoff for anyone who's been following since the house repair arc, and the kaiju fight has some genuinely creative panel layouts. Only gripe is it ends on a cliffhanger that makes me wish I'd waited for the next volume to arrive.
