The tension with the Evil Eye is so well-paced here, and I love how Seiko’s failed exorcism raises the stakes instead of resolving things quickly. The pacing makes it hard to put down once Jiji’s possession really kicks in.
The Evil Eye's possession of Jiji adds a genuinely unsettling layer to the victory, and the pacing of the exorcism attempts keeps you turning pages fast. The art during the serpent god fight is some of the most dynamic in the series so far.
The Evil Eye arc really ramps up the tension here, and I liked how Grandma Seiko’s failed exorcism adds a layer of hopelessness that the earlier fights didn’t have. The volume’s pacing feels tighter than the last one, even if the possession plotline drags just a bit in the middle. Solid continuation
