The banter between Momo and Okarun really shines here, and the way the spirit granny steals every single scene she’s in had me laughing out loud on the train. The action sequences are drawn so dynamically that I had to flip back a few pages just to admire the chaos.
The pacing in this volume is perfect, the way the fight against the alien spirit granny escalates had me flipping pages way past my bedtime. Momo and the nerd’s dynamic with the (literal) granny adds a weirdly wholesome layer to all the chaos.
The cover art is way more vibrant in person than it looked on screen, and the paper quality feels sturdy enough to survive my commute bag. Volumes like this make me glad I’m collecting the series, especially with how chaotic the spirit battles get.
