The pacing here is perfect—the kaiju intro builds tension so fast, and the spell-fails moment caught me off guard. I read the whole volume in one sitting, and the art in the ruins panels is some of the best yet.
The ruins shortcut scene is the standout here, with Momo's rushed protect spell failing exactly when it should to kick off the chaos. Got through this volume in one sitting, and the pacing keeps that frantic energy from start to finish.
The way Momo and Vamola’s first-day school rush unravels through those forbidden ruins is pure chaos, and the paneling captures every frantic beat perfectly. The cliffhanger with that failed protection spell has me already dreading the next volume.
